FAQ

Here are a few things that might come up, in case you were shy about asking!

Any recommendations for lodging?

We have a room block at The Clayton Hotel, where the evening celebration will be held.  To inquire, please call Grace at 720-245-6070 and specify that you will be attending Sidney's Bat Mitzvah.

How do I acclimate to the altitude?

Hydration and eating well (particularly electrolyte-rich foods/drinks) are the most important things.  Wear plenty of sunblock. Take it slow.  Don't be ashamed to skip a dance number or two if you're feeling the effects.

What should we wear?

For the ceremony:

  • Clothing: Button-down shirts and slacks or a nice dress, skirt, or pants are all great options. If you show up in a suit, you won't be alone!

  • Head Coverings: If you'd like to wear a kippa (head covering), we've got you covered—literally. They will be available at the entrance.

For the reception:

  • The reception will be semi-formal, so come prepared to dance the night away!

Will any transportation between events be provided?

We will be arranging a bus to transport guests from The Clayton to Congregation Beth Evergreen and back.  This is available to all guests, not limited to only those staying at The Clayton.  It will be depart The Clayton at 9 AM, arrive at CBE in time for the service, and return to The Clayton at around 2 PM.

Please indicate if you plan to use the bus when you enter your response on the RSVP page.

When will we be noshing?

Don't worry.  This is a Jewish life event.  There will be bagels.  Specifically, there will be a bagel reception at Congregation Beth Evergreen following the service.  Plenty more food will follow at the evening celebration at The Clayton.

Any recommended preparation?

If our "Wassa Bat Mitzvah" page left you in need of more cultural immersion, please watch "You're So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah," "Nobody Wants This," or the Miracle Max scene from "The Princess Bride."
